Lorenzo Mantovani is Senior Researcher at CIRFF, Center of Pharmacoeconomics, Federico II University of Naples, Italy. He holds a degree in economics from Bocconi University of Milan, Italy and a DSc in epidemiology from Erasmus University of Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Dr. Mantovani’s main interests are economic and outcome evaluations, and the analysis of compliance and persistence to chronic treatments. He has been President of the Italian Group for the Pharmacoeconomics Studies Executive Board and has received the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research Distinguished Service Award and the EFPIA Scientist of Tomorrow Award.

He is on the editorial boards of several international journals and has co-authored over 120 papers. He is a pharmacoeconomic advisor to several Italian Regional Health Authorities, and is co-founder of a project that collects and manages information on healthcare events.
